Bachelor of Arts in Theology Biblical Studies Major
Four Year Degree Program - 120 credit hours
This major is designed to prepare students for lay ministry in the local church, or to provide students with a foundation for graduate studies in a variety of Christian fields.
Course Requirements
Field Education (1 unit = 100 hours)
Field Education requirements ensure practical experience in the student's area of study. Field Education units do not have academic credit value but are required for graduation. Tuition is not charged for Field Education units. Two units are required - one in the second year and one in the third year of the program.

Profile of a Graduating Student
A graduating student will:
- articulate a general understanding of the flow, content and historical development of the Bible
- demonstrate sound principles of biblical interpretation and application, both for personal growth and for corporate edification
- begin cultivating the lifelong habit of learning
- articulate a growing understanding of the complex nature of our changing society, and a commitment to communicating the gospel of Christ in an appropriate way to the needs of the world
- integrate faith and reason, and clearly and effectively communicate through both speech and writing
- live a life which demonstrates a growing appreciation of the worship of God
- make an effective contribution to the life and work of the church.
