Language Learner

By learning how to learn other languages you will develop an essential skill that opens doors to ministry with teams like Wycliffe Bible translators whose goal is to provide the Bible to every language group around the world in this generation. Many short and long-term cross-cultural opportunities do not require a full degree in linguistics. This specialization provides a practical introduction to language and culture learning. Learn to hear and produce sounds of the world's languages and how to communicate in any language. This track is suitable for those planning careers in Teaching English as a Second Language or for those planning to work in a cross-cultural or multi-lingual situation anywhere in the world.

This specialization involves completing the Language Learner track at CanIL (Canadian Institute for Linguistics) at Trinity Western University in Langley, BC during a 9-week session in June, July and August between the two years of the diploma program.
