Accreditation, Transfers and Transferability
Rocky Mountain College holds accredited status with the Association of Biblical Higher Education (ABHE), 5575 South Semoran Blvd., Orlando, Florida, 32882-1781, phone: 407-207-0808. Accredited status is a membership status granted to those colleges that meet the ABHE Conditions of Eligibility and that substantially achieve their respective missions and the Criteria for Accreditation. It further indicates a demonstrated commitment to ongoing institutional development and maintaining quality instructional standards, and assures other colleges that courses and degrees from Rocky Mountain College are worthy of acceptance and efficient transfer towards applicable programs.
Transfer
If you have attended college or university elsewhere, we welcome you to continue your studies with us. The RMC Registrar will evaluate your transcripts from other post-secondary institutions for possible transfer credit under the following guidelines:
- Courses in which a grade of "C" or better has been achieved.
- Courses must satisfy requirements of the program chosen.
- A minimum of 32 hours or one-half of program requirements (whichever is less) must be completed at RMC in any program. At least six hours of Bible and Theology are to be taken at RMC, even if there are sufficient hours in transfer to complete program requirements in these areas.
- Students from unaccredited Bible colleges will need to complete a minimum of 48 hours, or one-half of the program requirements (whichever is less) at RMC.
- Courses from unaccredited Bible colleges are evaluated on a course by course basis and, when approved, accepted on probation.
- It is recommended that any program practicums be completed at RMC in the student's final year.
Transfer credits will be considered from the following types of educational institutions:
- Accredited by the Association of Biblical Higher Education (ABHE)
- Provincial universities, colleges whose credits are transferable to universities, and provincial technical institutes
- Non-accredited colleges which have established a transfer relationship with RMC
- Non-accredited colleges and institutes
- International Baccalaureate
- Advanced Placement
