Unclassified Students
Rocky Mountain College welcomes non-program students to register in course offerings.
An Unclassified student may register in one or more courses per semester for credit or audit. Registering in a credit course requires that a student meet any necessary prerequisite as presented on an official high school or college transcript and complete the requirements of the course. A maximum of 15 credits may be completed for credit, after which application to a program is recommended
An Unclassified Student may register for unlimited courses for audit, dependent on availability of space in the course. An audit student attends class but does not submit assignments, write exams or receive a final grade for the course. An Unclassified student may audit most course offerings in a given semester (except Choir & Orchestra, Private Music Lessons and Theatre Arts diploma courses) at one-half the credit tuition rate.
Registration Information for Unclassified Students
To register, complete the Unclassified Student Application/Completion of Registration Form and submit it with payment to the Office of the Registrar. Payment is due upon registration.
The Completion of Registration Form must be completed and signed off by the Office of the Registrar, Finance Office and Student Life Office before the first day of semester classes in order to receive a student identification card which provides access to the RMC Library.
Unclassified students will be assigned a student mailbox in the student centre and a RMC email address. Assignments for credit courses may be submitted to the main office drop box. Graded assignments will be returned to the student mailbox. Course textbooks may be purchased from the RMC Library Bookstore at the beginning of each semester.
