Partnering with Parents

From the moment a child is born, parents are the first and most important teacher. For most parents, it's a role that continues throughout their child's school years and beyond post secondary. Rocky Mountain College invites and encourages parents to play an active role in deciding the course of study for their children. Studies show that in fact parents are the key influencers for their child when it comes to pursuing a post secondary institution. Thus, we encourage parents to:

• Influence their children to consider attending a college like RMC
• Foster a positive attitude towards learning in their teens.
• Encourage their young people to achieve their potential at college and to be actively involved.

How RMC will PARTNER with Parents to bring out the best in their teens :

To be an effective partner, RMC seeks to accept quality young people, train them in the field of their choice, and send them out into communities where they can serve God and humanity in a meaningful way. Thus, we pledge to provide a great environment, with a s safe, friendly college learning atmosphere, stimulating learning experiences as well as dynamic and dedicated professors. Our faculty and staff are committed to:

• Provide students with the instruction they need to achieve learning expectations for each level and subject.
• Foster and encourage learning.
• Stay up-to-date on programs of study and teaching methods.
• Evaluate students fairly and accurately.
• Maintain a standard of academic excellence among students.
• Contribute to school decision making.
• Become involved in college extra-curricular activities, and with committees for curriculum, student evaluation, field testing and evaluating new courses, instructional and assessment materials.
• Be available to provide one-on-one mentoring for students
• Be a spiritually mature role model for students, and pray regularly for them.
