Mission Trips
Like many major urban centres in Canada, Calgary is increasingly a multicultural city. The call to disciple the nations has become more practical and reachable - the nations are here!
As a college we find ourselves strategically placed. Our students have many opportunities both to experience other cultures and to learn how to communicate the gospel more effectively. Such experiences are an integral part of our intercultural (missions) courses. Credit is also available for those who get involved in crosscultural ministry. For example, we are in close proximity with the University of Calgary and students can be involved in International Student ministries should they so desire.
Missions Focus On Campus
Different missions agencies and groups visit our campus regularly. Our missions focus week is usually the first week of November. During that week, and at other times during the year, students will be exposed to the needs around the world, and the opportunities for serving the Lord in other cultures.
Short-term Missions Experiences!
Each year Rocky sends out short-term missions' teams. These experiences have served to open the eyes and the hearts of students to the needs of the world. They come back changed! Several have committed their lives to serving the Lord in other cultures. Trips have served in Romania, Quebec, El Slavador and Mexico.
