Our Story
In 1992, Mountain View Bible College in Didsbury, AB and Hillcrest Christian College in Medicine Hat, AB decided to join forces, closing down their respective campuses and starting a brand new work in Calgary: Rocky Mountain College. The new school was founded with a clear mission: to provide high-quality Christian education that results in transformed lives. Rocky was intended from the start to be an institution that prioritizes biblical values in every aspect of learning. And that vision continues today!
As the world evolved, so did we. Recognizing the need for flexible, accessible learning, Rocky Mountain College pioneered a transition to a digital-first ecosystem. This change allowed us to bridge geographical gaps, bringing our rigorous academic programs to students anywhere, anytime. We maintained our Jesus-centered focus while embracing technological innovation to reach the global mission field.
Today, our history is written in the success of our alumni who lead with purpose around the world. We remain committed to the foundations established over three decades ago—scriptural truth, academic rigor, and a heart for service. As we look to the future, we continue to adapt and change our online infrastructure, ensuring that the legacy of Rocky Mountain College continues to empower the next generation of Christian leaders.
Partnerships
At Rocky Mountain College, we believe strong partnerships create lasting impact. By working with other institutions, church and parachurch ministries, and community organizations, we build meaningful collaborations that ensure students have the tools, resources, and experiences they need to achieve their goals. Whether through credit or non-credit courses and innovative programs, we strive to create opportunities designed to inspire spiritual growth, deepen knowledge, and equip students for ministry.
